What an affiliate relationship means
TradeQuote Lab may earn compensation when a user follows a clearly identified affiliate link and later takes an action with that third party. A sponsor may instead pay for a labeled placement, or a resource may appear as a directory listing. The disclosure on the card identifies the relationship that applies.
Placement rules
- No partner card appears before a calculator result.
- A first test contains at most one primary partner card below a completed result.
- The resource must relate to the current calculation or a transparent diagnostic.
- Advertisements do not appear inside an active calculator form.
- Comparison context includes non-affiliate alternatives when they are needed for a fair choice.
- Sponsored, affiliate, and directory resources are visibly labeled.
What compensation cannot influence
Partner availability and payout cannot alter an input default, arithmetic operation, cost category, formula version, warning, “possible driver” diagnostic, sensitivity result, or next-tool recommendation. Partner order is not based solely on payout. The core calculators remain free and show the full result without an email address.
If removing every partner configuration would change a calculator result, the implementation violates this policy.
Partner analytics
A partner card can record a view or click event. That event must not include wages, revenue, raw dollar values, entered margins, descriptions, profile contents, scenario contents, or export contents. Read the privacy page for the broader analytics boundary.
How to question a placement
If a card is unlabeled, appears before the result, seems unrelated, or appears to influence a diagnostic, report the page and behavior through the correction process. No attachment or financial inputs are required.
