1. Acceptance and intended use
By using TradeQuote Lab, you agree to use the calculators and content lawfully and as informational planning aids. The product is designed for owner-operators and small home-service teams evaluating direct cost, labor burden, overhead recovery, selling price, change orders, and bid-to-actual variance.
2. Planning estimates, not professional advice
Results are planning estimates only. They are not accounting, tax, legal, payroll, insurance, engineering, or other professional advice and are not a guaranteed selling price or business outcome. User-entered rates may be incomplete. Local market conditions, laws, contract obligations, taxes, and customer-specific facts are not modeled unless a tool explicitly asks for them.
You remain responsible for checking inputs, assumptions, exclusions, formula traces, contract requirements, and final prices. Consult a qualified professional when a decision requires advice for a particular business, worker, jurisdiction, or agreement.
3. Formula transparency and changes
The methodology explains calculation boundaries, and each result identifies a formula version. We may correct or improve a formula, validation rule, label, or example. Material calculation changes receive a new version and are documented in the formula changelog. Historical saved scenarios can therefore differ from a result recalculated under a later version.
4. Local data and exports
Business profiles and saved scenarios are stored in the user's browser, not in a TradeQuote Lab cloud account. Browser storage is not encrypted and can be erased by the browser, device policy, or user. You are responsible for protecting the device and any copied, printed, CSV, or JSON exports. 5. Acceptable use
You may not use the site to:
- interfere with security, availability, rate limits, or other users' access;
- introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to infrastructure;
- misrepresent a planning estimate as guaranteed, licensed, or professional advice from us;
- remove source attribution from an embedded or republished asset where attribution is required; or
- use the content in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.
6. Availability and warranties
The site is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to test formulas, accessibility, exports, and indexability, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every input reflects a user's full cost structure. Optional services can be unavailable while the local calculators continue to operate.
7. Third-party and affiliate links
A clearly labeled partner link may lead to a third-party service governed by its own terms and privacy practices. A commercial relationship does not change a formula, diagnostic, or result. Read the affiliate disclosure for placement and ranking rules.
8. Content and product identity
TradeQuote Lab's original interface, explanatory copy, formula documentation, and brand materials are protected to the extent allowed by applicable law. Facts, user-entered information, and generally known mathematical relationships are not claimed as exclusive property.
9. Updates and corrections
These terms may be updated when the product or its data practices change. The reviewed date above shows the current publication baseline. Report a possible problem through the correction page; do not include private financial inputs.
